Is this right for you?

  • Salaried employees with allowances, a company car or extra income
  • South Africans working abroad who still file in South Africa
  • Investors and property owners with rental income or capital gains
  • Anyone behind on returns or facing a SARS verification

Scope, clearly defined.

  1. ITR12 annual return

Prepared, reviewed and submitted on eFiling, with a plain English summary of your assessment.

  2. Auto assessment review

We check a SARS auto assessment against your documents before you accept it. An accepted auto assessment counts as a submitted return, even if deductions are missing.

  3. Deductions reviewed

Medical expenses, retirement annuity contributions, travel logbooks, home office costs and section 18A donations checked for eligibility.

  4. Foreign employment income

Section 10(1)(o)(ii) exemption claims for South Africans employed abroad, with your day count tested and the R1.25 million cap applied.

  5. Provisional tax (IRP6)

First and second period estimates calculated and submitted on time, to help avoid underestimation penalties.

  6. SARS queries and objections

Verification documents compiled and uploaded, objections lodged where an assessment is wrong, and outstanding returns brought up to date.

Common questions

SARS auto assessed me. Do I still need you?

Often, yes. An auto assessment only uses information SARS already has, and deductions such as medical expenses, travel or home office costs are often missing. Once accepted, it is treated as your submitted return, so send us your documents before you accept it.

How long does my return take?

Standard returns are usually completed within 5 to 7 working days of receiving all the documents we need.

I work abroad. Do I still file in South Africa?

If you are still a South African tax resident, yes. You may qualify for the foreign employment income exemption on up to R1.25 million of your remuneration if you meet the day count tests. If you are unsure whether you are still resident, start with our free residency screening.

I have not filed for a few years. Can you help?

Yes. We request your SARS statement of account, identify every outstanding return and file them in order. Where penalties apply, we can help with a remission request.
